Hi folks, today I am absolutely thrilled to reveal some news I have been keeping secret for quite some time now: my collaboration with the wonderful people at Riley Blake and my first international fabric line VINTAGE KITCHEN! Woohoo! It has been my huge dream for ever so long to get into the quilt fabric market and I can’t wait to see this line come to life as quilts, kitchen accessories, clothing and possibly so much more. Vintage Kitchen’s seven designs arrive in early 2016 in three different color ways and are available for preorder now via Riley Blake Designs or, if you are in Germany, via their exclusive wholesale partner Swafing. Find out more about ordering Vintage Kitchen in Swafing’s blog post.
Vintage Kitchen is inspired by my love for vintage Pyrex dishes and maybe some of you might recognise the main design as I created it during Lilla Rogers Make Art That Sells course as part of an assignment. The idea was to create a kitchen pattern using vintage dishes and root vegetables and my interpretation was to stick with the vintage feeling through the colours I chose but to use lots of cute but clean icons. The cat portrait is something I would imagine hanging on the wall of a cat lover’s kitchen and is a great main motif for a secondary design. The other coordinating prints also pick up the icons used in the main design to complete my little vintage kitchen tale.
I hope you enjoy Vintage Kitchen as much as I do and can’t wait to see what you make!
