warum inspirierst du mich immer zu Dirndl?
It’s not like the connection asiadirndl is glaring in your eye….oh except for the millions of asians that visit the Oktoberfest every year….
Dabei liegt die Assoziation AsienDirndl wohl wirklich nicht nahe….ähem…ausser die Millionen Asiaten, die jedes Jahr das Oktoberfest besuchen…
Doch für mich schon! Ich wollte schon gaaaanz lange ein asiatisch angehauchtes „Heidiloves“-Kleidchen machen…ich finde die Idee, traditionelle deutsche Mode, mit Einflüssen aus der ganzen Welt zu verbinden sehr reizvoll. Als Nics neue Zeichnungen, von Jeanette wieder einmal fachmännisch als Stickdateien umgesetzt, meines Weges kamen war es um mich geschehen.
But yes, to me it was! I have been meaning to make an asian inspired Heidiloves-Dress for ages…I love the idea of combining traditional german designs with multi-cultural themes. So when Nics new illustrations, cleverly adapted into embroidery formats by Jeanette, headed my way, I had a hunch this was going to be it!
Dann fiel mir noch der olive-ocker-farbene Velvet in die Hand und der „Olive Geisha Fans“ Stoff von Amy Butler lugte aus meinem Stoffhafen hervor und ich wusste, das wird das erste asiatische Dirndl-Kleid!!
Yet it was not until I stumbled over some olive/ocker velvet adrift in my fabric stash, and this tiny piece of Amy Butler’s „Olive Geisha Fans“ that I KNEW it could work!
There’s an eastwind in the alps….coz HEIDILOVES ASIA!
